Down to the dunes after the blizzard (Plum Island, MA)

The first storm of January dropped a normal amount of snow with abnormal winds to drift it around. Even with temperatures dropping to 12F the trek down the beach was worth it because of the unusual wind direction. Normally a nor'easter blows snow back from our north-south beach; however, this was a rare "nor'wester", so the snow drifted over the dunes onto the beach.
